U.S. Energy Act of 2005 Implications for Tanker Owners

On July 30th, the Senate passed the U.S. Energy Act of 2005 and it is expected to be signed into law by President Bush in New Mexico, home state for Senator Domenici, Senate architect of the energy bill. It has taken four years to pass the Act after a task force headed by Vice President Cheney called for a new approach towards energy, much of which is incorporated in the Act. Download here
