Tradewinds: Vitol Sees Volumes Jump
“Vitol, the world’s largest oil trader, has seen trading volumes rise 25% in 2010 compared with the previous year . . . . ‘Last year it was the second largest charterer in terms of reported spot clean fixtures second only to Shell, according to US broker Poten & Partners.’ In the same year it was also the fourth largest spot charterer of crude tankers by volume, with only oil majors Shell, BP and Total ahead of it.”
