TradeWinds: US LNG production set to jump by a third in next three years, says Poten

In a webinar entitled “Americas First: 2025 Outlook for LNG exports from Alaska to Argentina”, Poten senior LNG analyst Sergio Chapa said “the US has grown from exporting its first LNG cargo in 2016 to become the world’s largest exporter with 101.7 million tonnes per annum.”
Chapa said “there are currently eight new liquefaction projects under construction in the US, Canada and Mexico with a combined LNG capacity of 74.9 mtpa.”
He said in this entire region — “from Alaska to Argentina” — there are 34 proposed LNG projects offering a combined 363 mtpa of LNG production capacity.
