TradeWinds News: November’s US election unlikely to bring clarity on LNG permitting export pause

September 11, 2024 Developers of LNG projects in the US may have to wait until well into 2025 before they see how a new administration plans to tackle the permitting pause on new liquefaction projects imposed by President Joe Biden’s government in January, according to broker and consultant Poten & Partner. Speaking on a webinar, Poten senior LNG analyst Sergio Chapa said LNG is not one of the issues on the campaign trail.
