“The US Northeast’s motor gasoline (mogas) shortages after Hurricane Sandy are subsiding but Poten & Partners says products tanker owners may get further help from distillate demands. The New York tanker specialist says the region may turn to imports to help heating oil stocks return to healthy levels. ‘Import sourcing could be challenging, with distillate stocks still tight in the Atlantic Basin, but the region might draw foreign supplies from longer-haul sources, offering some hope for owners,’ Poten said.”
