Several Pakistani FSRU Projects Moving Ahead at Various Paces
13 April 2017: “With one floating storage-and-regasification unit (FSRU) already operating, Pakistan is continuing to work on others in order to meet its existing unmet demand and its expected demand growth.
The FSRU project in Port Qasim led by the Gasport consortium and BW is expected to be delayed two to three months due to design issues with its proposed 15-km (9 miles) subsea pipeline to transport regasified LNG from the jetty to the onshore delivery point. The proposed pipeline will comprise submerged, trestle-mounted and buried sections.”
