Poten & Partners pointed out Russia was the primary supplier of diesel to Europe until February 2023, when the EU imposed an import ban and implemented a price cap as part of the G7 agreement. Consequently, Russian seaborne diesel exports plummeted from 54% (667,000 b/d) to a mere 3%.
