Reuters: Woodside: Asia LNG Demand Picking Up, Outlook Robust
“Demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Asia-Pacific is showing early signs of a pickup and its recovery is set to outstrip the pace of supply growth, Australia’s Woodside Petroleum Ltd said on Tuesday. Woodside, operator of the North West Shelf LNG project in western Australia, said although the market is expected to see a surge in new supply in the next 12-18 months, slippage in project schedules will mean that the market will rebalance and significantly tighten after 2012.”
