Papua New Guinea Aims for More Supply in Mid-2020s

Papua New Guinea will expand its role as a vital LNG supply source in the Asia Pacific region in the middle of the next decade, when new supply could fall behind demand growth.
Partners in the PNG LNG and Papua LNG projects announced agreements in February to move forward with plans to double the country’s nameplate LNG export capacity to 16 MMt/y as early as 2023 (see LNGWM, Sep’17).
