The review each year of the largest charterers for both clean products and crude oil (see the market opinion of January 6th) generates some very interesting commentary from the industry. Owners are curious to know more about the locations, dates, and sizes of cargoes that are moving in the market. Charterers invariably comment that the report significantly understates the volume of business that they conduct in the spot market.
