Poten and Partners’ Jason Feer, global head of business intelligence, told NGI that he also expects Cape Horn to be utilized more given the limitations of the Panama Canal. “No matter what changes are made, a lot of U.S. LNG will have to take the long way around because there are not enough slots for LNG to accommodate all of the U.S. volume that will go to Asia, especially as more LNG projects are due to come online in the U.S.,” he said.
