Lloyd’s List: West Africa-Europe Fixtures Highlight a Shift in Suezmax Crude Trades

“Poten & Partners recently highlighted the potential of the West Africa-Europe trade, saying that from 114 West Africa-Europe fixtures reported in 2009, the number could rise this year to more than 230 fixtures. The latest fixtures clearly show these changes to trade patterns. Expect, therefore, more West Africa-Europe suezmax fixtures in the coming quarters, as volumes on the benchmark route continue to decline.”
