Lloyd’s List: Jet Fuel Logjam Could Support Clean Freight Rates
“Poten & Partners said unwinding the logjam surrounding delivery of jet fuel to airports in Europe was likely to keep ships out of the market and could lend some support to clean tanker freight rates, writes Michelle Wiese Bockmann. ‘Some increase in floating storage fixtures as a result of opportunities created by the jet fuel demand disruptions in Europe [last week] is likely, though which cargoes are most likely to be stored on those fixtures depends mostly on what regional refiners choose to do with their jet fuel,’ Poten’s weekly Tanker Opinions said.”
