Columbia University Full Steam Ahead
New York City has long been considered a financial epicenter and is home to the world’s largest stock exchange on Wall Street, the NYMEX for commodity trading and a very active over-the-counter bond market. In recent years energy has taken a more central role in world affairs and New York City is once again playing a leading role. The Center for Energy, Marine Transportation and Public Policy at Columbia University (CEMTPP) has fostered the development of a burgeoning community of energy enthusiasts in both industry and academia. Located in Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the Center has been at the forefront in providing a platform for serious research, analysis and education in the energy and transportation markets.
