Australian Export Projects and Backfills Move Ahead Along With Two Import Projects in the Southeast

New and backfill export projects in Australia are moving forward along with two import projects in Australia.

Australia’s near-term LNG production growth will be underpinned by 8.9-MMt/y Ichthys and 3.6-MMt/y Prelude FLNG. Based on recent project updates, operator Inpex expects Ichthys to start up in November and Shell’s Prelude FLNG could start up near the end of the first quarter 2019.
