- East Coast retail asphalt prices mostly steady this last full week of May, but costs are rising.
- Barge prices for asphalt continue to rise on the East Coast. Flux is steady
- In the Midwest, retail assessments went higher, with supply concerns noted in areas.
- Midwest barge/rail wholesale prices go higher, with demand strong.
- Gulf Coast retail asphalt and flux prices were mostly steady this week.
- The Gulf Coast asphalt barge range heads higher, with the flux barge range steady.
- Rockies retail price assessments are increased in a number of locations.
- West Coast asphalt markets were strong–concerns grow about available re-supply.
- Western Canada selling, posted and wholesale prices are steadfast again this week.
- Selling prices are unchanged across eastern Canada. Posted prices in Quebec are in a narrower range, while posted prices are flat in Ontario.
- Crude oil prices sold off sharply on Friday, on reports that Russia and Saudi Arabia were considering raising oil output. Benchmark oil grades fell some $3-4 a barrel for the week.
