- It was a quiet holiday week, with most markets shuttered until after the New Year.
- Canada/northern US areas are expected to be cold, mostly snow-covered until the spring.
- East Coast retail and wholesale prices are assessed unchanged for the week.
- Midwest is quiet this holiday week. Selling ranges unchanged, with a few posting changes.
- Midwest wholesale prices stay flat for December supply, with January reported next week.
- Gulf Coast retail asphalt and flux pricing held steady, as we approach the end of the year.
- Wholesale asphalt prices in the Gulf Coast were slightly firmer this week, with flux unmoved.
- Rockies prices are static, with markets quiet. January wholesale will be reported next week.
- West Coast retail holds flat for the week. No changes for Alaska or Hawaii either.
- Western Canada asphalt retail prices are unchanged. Alberta wholesale is also steady.
- Eastern Canada retail prices are static, as we close out December.
- Oil prices go higher this week, with February WTI ending at $53.89 a barrel, up 64 cents.
- March Brent oil rises to $56.82 a bbl, or $1.66 higher than last week’s February bbl close.
- Feb Western Canadian Select (WCS) ends the week higher, near $38 FOB Alberta.
