- It was mostly a quiet pre-holiday week. Canada/northern US are cold, with wet/snow.
- East Coast retail asphalt prices assessed higher in some Mid-Atlantic markets. Demand was limited to warmer areas in the region. Flux prices were unchanged.
- East Coast wholesale asphalt prices assessed higher this week–flux prices are flat..
- Midwest activity slows on poor weather and the paving season’s end. Prices are flat.
- Midwest wholesale prices were steady for barges and slightly higher for December rail.
- Gulf Coast retail asphalt/flux pricing unchanged, while wholesale asphalt assessed higher.
- No changes noted for Rocky Mountain retail/wholesale prices. Cold conditions prevail there.
- West Coast markets were very slow, but a few selling ranges are adjusted this week.
- Western Canada asphalt retail prices are steadfast. Alberta wholesale is also flat.
- Eastern Canada retail prices are steady — QC suppliers ceased posted prices until spring.
- Crude oil prices were mostly steady this week. February WTI rose 15 cents, to $53.25 a bbl.
- February Brent oil slipped five cents this week, to $55.16 a bbl.
- February Western Canadian Select (WCS) holds above $37 FOB Alberta.
