- East Coast retail asphalt prices eased slightly in a few locations, but were steady elsewhere.
- Wholesale East Coast asphalt sales were reported at lower levels this week.
- Midwest retail asphalt and flux prices were unchanged.
- Wholesale was mostly steady in the Midwest, but some rail prices slipped.
- Gulf Coast retail prices were flat, but wholesale asphalt was reported in a lower range.
- Rocky Mountain wholesale prices were flat for August. Retail areas were mostly steady.
- West Coast prices were mostly steady, but some ranges are adjusted in California and the Pacific Northwest. Hawaii and Alaska are status quo.
- Asphalt selling prices are unchanged in western Canada. Reported posted prices increased.
- Quebec retail prices are steady, posted prices decreased. Selling/posted prices went down in Ontario.
- Oil prices soared once again this week. Sept WTI rose by $4, and closed at $48.52 a bbl.
- October Brent crude crossed $50 and ended at $50.88 a bbl, up $3.91for the week.
- October Western Canadian Select oil (WCS) closed near $34 FOB Alberta, up $3 a bbl.
