- East Coast retail asphalt, retail flux, and flux barge markets were quiet, with pricing steady.
- East Coast wholesale asphalt markets were active, with some assessments widening.
- Midwest retail ranges slipped lower in some areas, with little current rack activity.
- Midwest wholesale asphalt prices eased lower for remaining January supply.
- Gulf Coast retail asphalt, retail flux, and flux barge ranges unchanged, with limited activity.
- Asphalt barge markets on the Gulf Coast were active, with the assessment slipping.
- Rockies area selling prices hold for January. February will be noted in next weeks report.
- West Coast selling ranges decline for some locations. Demand is limited.
- Western Canada retail prices are steadfast. Alberta wholesale is flat for end of January.
- Eastern Canada base grade selling prices are unmoved.
- Oil prices continue to rally–March WTI closes at $33.62 a bbl, up $1.43 this week.
- April Brent ends the week at $35.99 a bbl, up $3.81 vs. last week’s close on March Brent.
- March WCS edges higher, to over $18 a bbl FOB Alberta (or $15.20 below WTI).
- Bitumar to begin marketing in Wilmington, North Carolina terminal (see Industry News).
