- It was another mostly quiet week, with the New Year Holiday on Friday.
- Retail markets were steady and quiet on the East Coast for asphalt and flux.
- The Midwest had another week with asphalt and flux prices mostly static.
- January wholesale rail prices will be reported next week for the Midwest (and Rockies).
- Gulf Coast retail prices were status quo. The barge range is assessed slightly lower.
- The Rockies were quiet/mostly flat, but some ranges were adjusted lower on project bids.
- West Coast selling ranges were mostly steady, with a few areas lower on reported bids.
- Western Canada retail and posted prices are unchanged. Alberta wholesale is flat.
- Eastern Canada selling prices are steady. Suppliers have ceased posted prices.
- Oil markets slipped lower, as February WTI closed at $37.04 a bbl, down $1.06 this week.
- Brent ended at $37.28 a bbl, down $0.61 a bbl vs. previous Friday close.
- WCS prices declined over a dollar, to below $24 a bbl FOB Alberta–$13.30 below WTI.
