Lloyd’s List: Opec Oil Production to Rise by 5 Million Barrels Per Day

“Crude oil production from the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries is projected to increase by 5m barrels per day over the next 20 years, reaching 40m bpd in 2030, according to international energy giant BP. . . . BP was named second largest charterer of tonnage in the tanker spot markets in 2010 by New York brokers Poten & Partners, fixing 427 vessels and featuring in the top 10 lists for both the suezmax and aframax sectors.”
