North Jersey: Potholes Stretch North Jersey Budgets
“Potholes tore up local streets following the harsh winter, and now they are adding an expense to municipalities already struggling with budgets stretched to the limit. . . The cost to produce asphalt is affected by crude oil prices, said Don Wessel of Poten & Partners, a New York consulting firm that publishes the trade journal Asphalt Weekly Monitor. The publication is used by refiners, road construction companies, state transportation authorities and banks to monitor the industry and its prices.”
