Lloyd’s List: Long-haul Product Tanker Trades Shrouded in Uncertainty, says Poten

“PROSPECTS for the long-haul product tanker market are shrouded in uncertainty, due to questions over new global refinery capacity. Planned global capacity additions were projected to total 7.6m barrels per day in the period 2006-2012, but global additions over that period only amounted to 5.3m bpd, according to a revealing new study by brokerage and consultancy firm Poten & Partners.”
