Winds of Change

Although the tanker market is accustomed to everyday fluctuations in rates and regular movements in the freight markets, there are some trends that develop over the longer-term. In general, the sizes of tankers within traditional designations have gotten larger. These larger vessels have larger engines increasing fuel consumption, but also allowing vessels to travel faster.
