Changing Almost in a Blink

As the Obama Administration continues to rev its policy engines, sacred cows of many self-interest groups may become road-kill on the United States’ bio-fueled road towards energy independence. For instance, by the Administration’s willingness to reconsider whether states should set auto emission limits stricter than the Environmental Protection Agency’s, the bedraggled US automotive industry is now being haunted by the de facto spectre of producing cars with greater fuel efficiency.
