- East Coast retail selling ranges for asphalt mostly steady, or slightly lower – flux unchanged.
- Some East Coast Wholesale asphalt prices increase, with flux prices status quo.
- Higher May prices were reported for the Midwest region. Selling ranges rose.
- Midwest retail prices were mostly steady–but a few increased this week.
- Gulf Coast retail asphalt assessments steady or slightly down – flux pricing flat.
- Gulf Coast area barge asphalt and flux prices are unchanged.
- Rocky Mountain wholesale prices were steady or higher for May– retail was mostly steady.
- The West Coast region was mixed for the start of May, with price declines in coastal Washington and Hawaii—California was steady or up slightly.
- Western Canada wholesale prices are assessed slightly wider for early May—Saskatchewan and Manitoba held tenders this week.
- Asphalt prices in Quebec are assessed in a wider band. Ontario selling prices are steady.
- Oil prices continue to rise. June WTI crude climbs $2, ending the week at $59.15 a bbl.
- June Brent rose to $66.46 a bbl, up $1.18 from last week, and almost $9 in three weeks.
- June Canadian WCS crude increased to ~ $49 a bbl FOB Alberta—or $9.95 under WTI.
- Calumet Superior, Wisconsin Refinery Asphalt Tank Fire.
