- Retail prices decline in most areas of the Midwest, as some suppliers reduce prices.
- Gulf Coast retail asphalt assessments move lower, some flux prices decline as well.
- The Gulf Coast area barge asphalt and flux ranges decline notably.
- Wholesale prices are lower for January product in the Rockies.
- Rockies retail prices assessed lower in a number of locations.
- West Coast retail markets decline for January, especially in California.
- Western Canada wholesale prices are narrowed for January.
- Quebec asphalt posted prices are steady while selling prices are assessed in a lower range.

- Western Can. Select (WCS) crude oil declines $2, to just under $35 FOB Alberta.
- Brent crude plunges by 11%, ending the week at $50.11 a barrel—down $6.51 a bbl.
