“Mozambique could push Africa above Qatar as Europe’s top LNG source. ENI’s offshore discovery confirmed 2.1 trillion cubic meters of potential gas reserves. The country has an estimated 7 trillion cubic meters, according to Mozambique’s ENH. About 16% of the world’s LNG is exported to Europe — 41% from Africa and 45% from Qatar in 2013, according to Poten & Partners.”
