Petroleum Economist: Ireland’s Gas to Flow Next Year

“With Corrib covering a large part of Ireland’s gas requirements, and demand having declined since the recession, it could be some years before there is a gap in the market for an LNG terminal. However, the minister for communications, energy and natural resources, Alex White, who took office in July, favours the Shannon LNG plan, and it is said that Hess and the other main participant, US consultants Poten & Partners, are still keen on it.
