Tradewinds: LNG cargo cancellations likely in coronavirus hit market

Poten & Partners global head of business intelligence Jason Freer said the broker and consultant sees a surplus of 24m tonnes of LNG in 2020, up from its initial pre-pandemic forecast of an over-supplied market of 8m tonnes at the start of this year.
Speaking in the first in a series of webinars Freer said: “We think we are likely to see significant declines in supply which would imply some shut-ins of trains in the US and elsewhere.”
