S&P Global: UAE cranked up imports of US LNG in May

Dubai uses a depleted oil field to store natural gas that is imported as LNG, said Jason Feer, head of business intelligence at oil and gas ship broker Poten & Partners. “They have the option to stock up when they find a good deal,” he said. “I suspect that it’s simply a case of competitively priced cargoes available at the right time.”
