• The Asphalt Institute held its summer meeting in Chicago and it was well attended.
• East Coast retail asphalt prices slip in many areas, with flux prices steady in the region.    
• Wholesale asphalt pricing declines sharply, with flux barge prices static on the East Coast.
• Midwest retail prices were reduced by some suppliers. Many selling ranges slipped lower. 
• Wholesale asphalt assessments slipped in the Midwest. Flux prices were mostly steady. 
• Gulf Coast retail asphalt and flux pricing steady in most areas this week.   
• The asphalt barge range declines this week, with flux barge prices flat on the Gulf Coast.
• Rocky Mountain retail and wholesale markets were generally steady this week.
• West Coast regional markets were steady, except for southern California.
• Western Canada retail and wholesale prices are status quo this week.
• Asphalt prices were steady in Ontario but were lower in Montreal this week.
• Oil prices dropped this week for all benchmark grades. Brent-WTI crude spread narrowed.
