Asphalt Weekly Monitor

• East Coast retail asphalt prices mostly steady or lower, with flux prices unchanged.    
• Wholesale asphalt and flux pricing remains steadfast for the week on the East Coast.
• Midwest retail markets had few retail price range changes. Demand was strong.   
• Midwest wholesale asphalt prices are assessed in lower ranges, with flux unchanged.
• Gulf Coast retail asphalt pricing slips in some areas, with flux prices steady this week.   
• The asphalt barge range slips modestly, while flux barges are flat on the Gulf Coast.
• Rocky Mountain areas are assessed slightly firmer in a few spots, with trucking capacity strained to the limits. Wholesale prices were steady for July supply.
• West Coast asphalt and flux prices were unchanged and ranges were static for the week.  
• Western Canada markets were mostly static, except Saskatchewan area. Wholesale prices were holding at previous week’s levels.
• Markets were steady in both Quebec and Ontario this week.
• Oil prices decreased this week, mostly affected by the production returns in U.S. Gulf Coast.
