8 May 2017: “As mentioned in a recent opinion, the global LNG trade grew by approximately 12% year-on-year during Q1 2017. Early indications from April trade data show a continued growth. If this rate persists throughout the year, global LNG trade volumes may reach 296 million tonnes. Additionally, almost 30 million tonnes of nameplate capacity is scheduled to commence operations this year while recently commissioned trains in the U.S. and Australia continue to ramp up.”
