- East Coast retail asphalt prices mixed, with flux prices firming in many areas
- East Coast wholesale barge prices slipped in some areas – some flux barge prices firm.
- Some Midwest markets firmed in for the start of May, while others were unchanged.
- May wholesale prices in the Midwest were noted in a trimmer range for most material.
- Gulf Coast retail asphalt mostly steady, with some firming – flux prices are flat or softer.
- The wholesale asphalt and flux ranges on the Gulf Coast are unchanged for the week.
- Rocky Mountain retail prices were mixed, with some firming and others easing lower.
- Rockies wholesale prices rose modestly, with supply varying considerably between refiners.
- West Coast selling ranges eased in parts of California, with Pacific Northwest mostly steady.
- Western Canada selling and posted prices remain unchanged to start May.
- Posted prices are holding at late-April levels in eastern Canada.
- The selling price range in Ontario narrowed, while selling prices in Quebec are steadfast.
- Oil falls by ~$3, as June WTI closes at $46.22/bbl, down by $2.94/bbl for the week.
- June West. Can. Select crude (WCS) slips to about $37/bbl FOB Alberta, or $10 under WTI.
- July North Sea Brent oil declines to $49.10 a bbl, or $2.50 above July WTI grade oil.
