Panama Canal Expansion

14 March 2017: On March 6^th the GasLog Skagen transited the expanded Panama Canal, marking the 100^th LNG carrier (LNGC) transit since the new locks opened in June 2016. Since the Maran Gas Apollonia became the first large LNGC to pass through the canal 7 months ago, traffic has increased steadily to one LNGC transiting the canal roughly every other day.
