OPEC Cuts Down Tanker Demand
10 Feb 2017: It appears that the whole world (at least the people that are interested in oil supply and energy prices) is watching OPEC output to see if the member countries are adhering to the crude oil production and export cuts that they promised in meetings in September and November 2016. We are curious too, particularly because of the potential impact this may have on the tanker market. To see if we can determine any trends or draw some early conclusions we analyzed the seaborne crude oil movements out of OPEC in January 2017 and compared this to data from earlier periods in 2015 and 2016.
