- Paving activity winds down in the US going into the long Memorial Day holiday weekend.
- East Coast retail asphalt prices were mostly steady this week.
- Wholesale East Coast asphalt and flux price ranges were static.
- Midwest selling ranges are mostly steady, with few adjusted locations this week.
- Midwest wholesale asphalt prices steady this last week of May, but crude cost are rising
- Gulf Coast retail asphalt prices were steady this week. So were flux prices for May product.
- Asphalt barge price ranges firmed modestly once again this week. Flux was unchanged.
- Rocky Mountain area wholesale prices are flat for remaining May product.
- Retail selling prices were mostly steady in the Rockies going into the long Holiday weekend.
- West Coast markets were mostly status quo for this last week of May.
- Asphalt retail prices are assessed in narrower ranges in some of western Canada.
- Asphalt selling prices decreased in Quebec, but increased in Ontario this week.
- Crude oil prices rise again, briefly hitting $50, with July WTI ending the week at $49.33.
- July Brent closed at $49.32 a bbl, up $0.51 this week. Brent premium to WTI collapsed.
- July Western Canadian WCS crude rose about a dollar, to over $37 a bbl FOB Alberta.
