- Wholesale East Coast asphalt prices are firmer, with flux barge prices status quo.
- Midwest retail prices decline in parts of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Other areas steady.
- Midwest wholesale asphalt prices unchanged, after a significant rise at the start of May.
- Gulf Coast retail asphalt and flux prices status quo for the week.
- Asphalt and flux barge price ranges hold steady on the Gulf Coast.
- Rocky Mountain area markets are status quo for both retail and wholesale asphalt.
- West Coast retail prices steady, but some project bids were below current selling ranges.
- Asphalt retail/posted prices in western Canada are flat. Alberta wholesale is unchanged.
- Asphalt selling and posted prices decreased in both Ontario and Quebec.
- Oil moves higher this week. June WTI ends at $46.21, up almost $2 for the week.
- July Brent crude closes at $47.83 a bbl, up well over $2 this week.
- June Western Canadian WCS crude climbs $2, to almost $34 a bbl FOB Alberta.
- Wild fires continue in Alberta. It is unclear when tar sands production returns to normal.
